Although I'm not exactly a fan of abortion I find such a display entirely ridiculous. I'm fed up with the pro-life agenda many people profess (including my family.)

Sigh. I'm off to research more schools and send out another batch of resumes. Ah, the life of the soon-to-be college student.

Honestly people, get over it. Teaching children to love and respect those around them has nothing to do with the indoctrination of the "gay agenda".

The dance at WWU was most enjoyable. Nick and I participated in a dance-off for the title of Prom Queen and King (respectively). Although neither of us won, I believe our performances were enjoyed by all. More appropriate title for our new King and Queen: the male/female best able to turn sexual positions into dance moves. Needless to say, fun was had by all.

Amusing moment: guy and girl come up to us and ask if we are Western students. We politely reply that we attend WCC. The guy immediately shrinks away from us as if fearful of disease. It was beautiful.

We got Catherine to the airport on time and everything went well except that we had to move our car and didn't have the opportunity for proper goodbyes because we then proceeded to get a little lost. I can provide a mental image for my UD friends alone: imagine Maddy driving around Dallas without Theresa. There you have my situation last night. Janice and I did find a Denny's in the process, as well as the freeway. It was good times and we sang along to many CDs (our personal favorite being the "Hello Dolly" soundtrack.)

So I am functioning on three hours of sleep (which occurred between the hours of 7:30 and 10:30 am). . . and I'm wired. Apparently I need neither sleep nor caffeine to function properly. All I need is Janice to slap me around and my love to keep me warm.

I don't know what the hell I meant by that, which means it is time to sign off.

Today was fun in a random sort of way. Jenny and I decided to cruise down south to B-town (aka Burlington) and ended up going to Deceptions Pass (where I muddied my nice pants while walking across the bridge) and then La Conner. We finally ended up in Burlington for about 15 minutes and then we headed back.

The plan for this evening is to attend the dance and then drive Catherine to the airport sometime in the wee hours of the morn. I'm stoked. I've had endless amounts of energy lately and it is hard to shut down at night, so it will be good to stay up all night for once.

I love bonding with my girls. I only wish I could be at UD right now because I miss my ladies there. I hope everything is working out in the new quad and no friendships have been strained. People should call me sometime. (!!!)

I honestly had something interesting to post about but I've completely forgotten what it was.

oh well.

I attended the protest yesterday and was name-called by an elderly male. Honestly, there are some things that shouldn't be said to young women:

1) You're looking a little chunky these days
2) Are you going for the refugee look?
3) You look like the Bush twins.

Remember that, people. Thus ends my rant.

Anyway, the protest was awesome even though it rained the entire time. I really appreciate Washington rain now. Texas rain is intense and leaves you soaked to the bone almost instantaneously. Here, you can be out in the rain for hours and still be relatively dry.

I remember what I was going to post about! The LGBT dance at WWU is tomorrow (saturday) from 9-12 at Viking Union ($3). You should all come (except those of you that are stuck in Texas. *hugs*)

Activities Fair was okay. It mainly consisted of note throwing and other such immaturities. I saw Sonya (aka "The Zangster") and we had good times. She has grown up a lot and found an awesome guy. I'm happy for her and must take this time to quote:

"I've got the rice-patty fever. Want to do it?"

Yes, some guy said that to her. I would have found that offensive on every level but apparently she was amused. That guy was lucky. She could totally kick anyones ass. In fact, you should all watch out because now that we are reunited there is no stopping us.

We also hung out with Navreen and I realized that, with the exception of a couple token whites, all of my friends are people of color. I'm rather pleased. I'm diversificating myself. Wow, that just sounds dirty (oh wait, its just my sick mind. . . )

I'm going to read now and await the beaconing call of Janice, who is currently in class.
